Researchers may want to use a battery of tests and questionnaires to get a more complete picture of their participants’ cognitive and psychosocial profiles. Collecting such large amounts of data can feel daunting for participants and can lead to fatigue effects. !! Practical considerations {FANCYLIST()} 1) __Collecting questionnaires beforehand__. To reduce time needed in the lab, one can consider distributing the questionnaires before the testing session on paper or via an online survey platform (e.g., Qualtrics). Researchers can subsequently look at the answers to the questionnaires before the testing session to see if any information is missing or to ask clarification questions. 2) __Small talk__. It may take a long time to collect data using an extensive test battery. However, it is advisable to schedule in ample time for small talk with participants.
